Art Competition 2023

We would like to invite artists of any age to enter art based on an environmental theme. This includes 3D sculptures, collages, paintings and drawings. The art will go on display in the town of Stafford including at St. Chad's Church. Extra venues will be added depending on how much artwork is submitted. Each piece of artwork must have a positive message that reflects an environmental theme such as looking after our planet, climate change, biodiversity, anti-pollution, pollination, etc. Messages must be written clearly in black pen on a piece of card no bigger than a postcard and firmly attached to your artwork so that it will not get lost in transit. This content will be displayed with your artwork. Please attach an additional card with any information that has been used in producing your artwork. This might include if you have used any non-toxic biodegradable, recycled or recyclable materials that are kind to the planet. If your adult artwork is framed, please have it ready with hanging loops and a cord so we can display it. 3D items such as sculptures will be displayed in St. Chad's Church and others will be displayed where feasible. If there are too many entries there will be a selection process of which pieces to show but we will endeavor to display as many as possible.

Artwork is displayed at the owners risk and if you wanted to sell your art submission please let us know. St. Chad's Church, Stafford will also host artwork from local schools who have taken part in workshops run by volunteers. If you know any individual local artist that might want to enter please pass this information on.

Please fill out the entry form which should be attached to the back of your art submission. We will issue the artist with a receipt to be given back when removing the Art work.  If your works of art have been displayed at St. Chad's they must be collected and removed from the church on the afternoon of Saturday 25th February 2023 between 3pm and 5pm. If your artwork is displayed at another venue we will let you know when this needs to be collected. If you are successful in winning an award for your artwork we will invite you to an awards ceremony of the evening of Tuesday 7th March 2023. Please drop your artwork off ready to be displayed at St. Chad's Church, Stafford between 1pm and 6pm on Friday 17th February 2023.

Please drop your artwork off ready to be displayed with both options: a wire to hang and also any extra equipment to facilitate it standing on a surface (if necessary) at St. Chad's Church between 1pm and 6pm on Friday 17th February.
